God repeatedly reminded them through little coincidental, yet dramatic ways, that "I will not leave or forsake you."
In addition, the story gives testimony of the many other soliders who were touched during Cpl. McClellan's 26-day stay at Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, and subsequent 27 days of rehab at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, FL.
Since returning from Florida in November 2006, Cpl. McClellan has continued to amaze everyone with the supernatural restoration of his mind and body. The collection of 150+ e-mails sent by Connie McClellan to the thousands of prayer partners and concerned Americans created by the e-mail "ripple," allows the reader to experience the emotions felt by John's family along with the thousands of people touched by the story as it developed.
